Days of Remembrance and Celebrating Victory Day
May 8, 1945, marked the formal acceptance of Germany’s surrender, ending World War II and became the cause of celebration as Victory Day (V-E) in Europe. My husband and I were in Caen, Normandy, at the WWII museum on the 8th. Being in such a historically significant location on that day and surrounded by those honoring their families’ sacrifices added a powerful, personal side to the commemoration. The warmth shared between us, as American visitors, and the descendants was heartfelt. To then hear that President Trump signed a Proclamation commemorating the 80th anniversary of Victory Day was a special day indeed. To read the proclamation declaration click the Button below.

That's right, Do It Yourself, Get Out The Vote!
First, thank you for your help in supporting John McCann in his race for the Board of Supervisors. Getting John there will impact the whole county as his vote will push all of their actions to the conservative side. This will be a very low turnout election therefore our votes will really count if they are cast. I need you to now sit down and go through your phone and write a list of people you think might be in D1 and give them a call or text soon. When you get in touch and remind them to vote, cross them off.
District 1 spans from the Pacific Ocean on the west, to the Otay and San Miguel mountains in the east, and from Barrio Logan in the north to the U.S./Mexico international border on the south.
The First Supervisorial District includes the cities of Chula Vista, Imperial Beach, National City, and some communities within the City of San Diego, such as Barrio Logan, East Village, Golden Hill, and more.
The last thing to ask your contact is, can they call friends and ask them to vote.
We can win this and turn the county RED!
