Honoring Our Fallen Heroes
Memorial Day, May 26th is our federal holiday, dedicated to honoring, remembering, and mourning the U.S. military personnel who died while serving in the United States Armed Forces. This is a day to show our patriotism by visiting cemeteries and ceremony memorials across the county, including the annual Memorial Day service at Fort Rosecrans National Cemetery. This celebration at 10:00 a.m. is one of San Diego's largest and most celebrated memorials dedicated to our fighting men and women. For more information please see http://www.fortrosecransmemorialday.com.
The USS Midway Museum May 24-26 is offering a series of events designed for everyone to experience the spirit of honor, remembrance, and celebration. For more information visit https://www.midway.org/event/legacy-week-2025. And Mount Soledad National Veterans Memorial https://soledadmemorial.org will honor military personnel and feature speeches, music and wreath-laying ceremony on the 26th. There will also be volunteers placing American flags on the graves of those military personnel in national cemeteries.
More than ever we need to remind our citizens of the sacrifices that were made to be the "Home of the free, because of the brave," and "Freedom isn't free," which emphasize the importance of honoring military service members. Check out the ceremonies offered in your area in addition to the above.
May God Bless America and Bless #47 President Donald J. Trump. Please pray for God's guidance and blessings for our country's leaders who are fighting for the safety, security, health, and prosperity of our United States' citizens.

Sincerely,
Michele Zemcik, President

FEATURED SPEAKER: Jim Desmond
San Diego County Supervisor, District 5
Candidate for Congress, 49th District
Jim Desmond is a father, husband, U.S. Navy Veteran, Delta Airline Pilot for 33 years, former Mayor of San Marcos for 12 years, and the current San Diego County Supervisor.
His life has been dedicated to service, leadership, and getting things done, whether it’s in the cockpit, the Mayor’s office, or at the County level.
Our current Congressional representatives have lost sight of their primary responsibility: to represent the people
Instead of solving problems, they have endless bickering, gridlock, and partisan theatrics in Washington, D.C.
While they’re playing politics, the real challenges facing hardworking families in the 49th District are being ignored.
Jim Desmond is running for Congress because it’s time for change. It’s time for common sense to return to our government. We need leaders who will focus on delivering real solutions.

Leo Zacky
Candidate for California Governor
Leo is part of the Zacky Farms poultry family. His great grandfather, Samuel, immigrated to California over a century ago in search of the American dream.
Leo’s grandparents, Robert and Lillian Zacky, were key players in the expansion and vertical integration of Zacky Farms since 1955. As a teenager, Leo would accompany his grandmother to Sacramento and Washington, D.C. as she lobbied for the agriculture industry. Later, he would become a lobbyist as a member of the California Poultry Federation (CPF).
“During those years, I learned that everything has a cost. As a rep for the business, I traveled throughout all of California, becoming familiar with the entire state. I learned how different regions have different needs and there are endless niche issues.”
Leo’s years of experience in the agricultural industry placed him directly in opposition to the California politics that are destroying this state. He has dealt directly with the state’s excessive regulations, high taxes, mismanagement of natural resources and wasteful spending. He knows how to bring businesses back and stop our residents from fleeing to other states.
At heart, he’s a Constitutionalist and a man of the people. As Governor of California, Leo wants to roll up his sleeves once more and take a dumpster dive to clean up the corruption, mismanagement, wasteful spending and put a stop to the many political agendas that are driving our state into the ground.

Ditto, Ditto, Do Again, Tush Push
You did an outstanding job in pushing John McCann to the number one position in the last election. We need to do this again. We need to stand behind him and give him that push to get him over the goal line. Join the team and plan on some time for stuffing envelopes, making calls and texting. This too, will be a low turnout election, therefore a unique opportunity for Republicans to prevail and win in a Democratic stronghold.
Winning this election will change the direction of the whole county.
